First Aid Training
The First Aid course teaches how to recognize an emergency situation, and being able to
tell the difference between a minor injury or illness and a life threatening one. For example,
upper abdominal pain can be as minor as indigestion or as severe as a
heart attack needing prompt medical care. You will learn how to give temporary assistance
until the victim receives professional medical care and be able to treat minor injuries at home.
The class teaches you about:
- Bleeding(Internal, external bleeding)
- Shock
- Fractures (Bone, Joint and Muscle Injuries)
- Allergic reactions
- Sudden illnesses (Heart Attack, Stroke, Asthma, Diabetes)
- Wounds (wound care, infections)
- Burns (Thermal, Chemical, Electrical burns)
- Head injuries (brain, eye, dental)
- Spinal injuries
- Chest (Abdominal and Pelvic injuries)
- Poisoning
- Bites and Stings(Animal bites, insect stings)
